Troubleshooting
Alfalfa can be a very easy to cultivate seed that will sprout in between 2 and 6 days. Here are some signs to look out for when your seeds fail to germinate in this period.

Too dry. Seeds require water to grow. Alfalfa seeds absorb about half their weight in water prior to they sprout, making them appear to be swelling. Seeds that are too dry do not sprout. Incorporate more water into the plate to make sure that the seeds are wet but not floating in the water. It is also possible to soak the seeds overnight. Be sure to drain them and rinse them thoroughly before transferring them onto a paper towel.

Too moist: Seeds that are wet can cause their roots and their shoots to decay before they are able to grow. The seeds may also become moldy. It's acceptable for the paper towel to be wet however the seeds should not be floating in water. Each time you water or mist the seeds, drain the excess water.

Too cold or too hot: Alfalfa thrives when temperatures are between 20 and بذور برسيم حجازي 25 degrees Celsius. If you're growing your seeds in winter, put them in a warm spot indoors. If you're cultivating your seeds in very hot temperatures you may need to water your seeds more often since they'll dry out quicker.
