The Pontiac G6 is just a mid-size car that's made by General Motors under the Pontiac. The Pontiac G6 is available in a coupe, convertible, and sedan body style and was built on the GM Epsilon platform. The Pontiac G6 is noted for its sporty design and handling, however it faced criticism because of its interior 2024 Pontiac G6 quality and not enough rear-seat space. Despite these drawbacks, it had been a well known choice among buyers buying a mid-size car with a bit of performance. The Pontiac G6 had efficient heating and cooling systems, with easy-to-use controls for temperature, fan speed, and air direction. The 2024 G6 Pontiac GTP had lots of storage area, with large door pockets, a heart console, and a spacious trunk.

The Pontiac G6 offered three different engine options, The bottom engine was a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, which produced 164 horsepower and 158 lb-ft of torque. This engine was paired with either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission. The mid-level engine option was a 3.5-liter V6, which produced 219 horsepower and 219 lb-ft of torque. This engine featured a 4-speed automatic transmission. The top-of-the-line engine was a 3.9-liter V6, which produced 240 horsepower and 241 lb-ft of torque.  The engines were generally considered adequate, but not particularly powerful.

The Pontiac G6 was not particularly fuel-efficient, with EPA ratings ranging from 17 to 29 mpg depending on the engine and transmission. The 2024 Pontiac G6 received good ratings for crash safety from both National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The automobile was built with dual-stage front airbags, that could adjust the airbag inflation rate based on the severity of the impact. Additionally, it had side-impact airbags for the driver and front passenger, in addition to side curtain airbags that extended from the front to a corner of the car to safeguard the heads of all occupants.

As well as the airbag system, the Pontiac G6 also had numerous other safety features. It had anti-lock brakes (ABS) to greatly help avoid the wheels from locking up during emergency braking, along with traction control to boost grip on slippery surfaces.
