"A safe cleanse is one that doesn't allow you to starve yourself or perhaps get fancy pills, potions or perhaps expensive drinks." ~Mark Hyman, MD., Institute For Functional Medicine

6 years agoI don't juice only cleanse. Ever. I don't take up a cleanse without preparing. Ever.

A good friend informed me two weeks ago she was going on a cleanse to jumpstart weight loss and nourishing diet . As she was talking I thought, "it's not going to work." But when she said,"It just feels as though the proper action to take. Plus, I am ready," I believed to myself, "Don't be so fast to dismiss it, maybe it will work."
For a couple of days my friend sent me pictures of what she was eating, with updates, "Oh my gosh, I feel so great!" On day 3 the texts stopped. The following week when I asked her the way the cleanse was going, she replied, "I stopped. I could not do it."
Juice cleanses are all the rage -- a celebrity driven $5 billion (yes, five dolars billion) market and growing -- promises losing weight, detoxification from environmental chemicals and food, clearer skin, vyvamind walgreens (https://www.wishtv.com/partner-content/vyvamind-reviews-is-it-legit-important-information-disclosed) improved digestion, mental clarity, along with a jumpstart to eating which is balanced.
Juice cleansing is not much of a panacea to health that is good.
The individual opinion of mine is that all juice cleanses are another fad diet. And, in fact, juice cleansing may be found with long-term and short- detriments to lasting wellness.
You will find a wide range of cleaning and detox plans -- from 3 day juice merely detoxes to 21-day anything and applications in between. While a 3-day juice-only cleanse might not have lasting negative effects they are not the remedy for jumpstarting weight reduction or a brand new healthy way of life either.1 year ago
