Children are fascinated by watching seeds sprout. This is especially true when seeds are sprouting quickly. Alfalfa ( Medicago the sativa) is a very easy to grow seed that can sprout in around a week. To observe the seeds sprout in the soil, sprinkle a few alfalfa seeds on a piece of paper towel that is damp.

You'll Need:
a packet of alfalfa seeds (about 1.5g)
A small plate or saucer
Three pieces of paper towels
A small or spray mister water container

How to Develop
Place 3 sheets of paper towel on a plate.
Take the water off the plate. The paper towel must be moist, but the seeds shouldn't be floating in water.
Sprinkle the seeds evenly onto the towel.
Put the paper towel on a sunny window and water to stop the towel from drying. It is possible to use a mister or spray bottle to dampen the seeds or add a tiny quantity of water into the saucer by using the smallest cup or jug.
Everyday, look over your seeds to see if they are developing.

Troubleshooting

Too dry Seeds need water to develop. Alfalfa seeds suck up about own weight in water before germinating, making them look like they are swollen. Seeds that are not moist enough won't develop. Make sure to add more water to your plate until the seeds are wet but not floating in water. You could also soak your seeds for a few hours. Be sure to drain them and rinse them thoroughly before placing them onto a paper towel.

Too moistIf the seeds are wet their new roots and أفضل أنواع بذور البرسيم shoots could rot before they are able to develop. It's also possible that mould will start to develop around the seeds. Although it's fine for the paper towel and أفضل أنواع بذور البرسيم seeds to be damp but they shouldn't be submerged in water. Every time you water or mist seeds, remove any excess water.

Too cold or hot Alfalfa grows best when temperatures are between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. If you're cultivating your seeds during winter, keep them in a warm location indoors. It is possible that you will need to be more frequent in watering your seeds if you grow them in very hot temperatures. They'll dry out quicker.
