Cultural Appropriation and Donkeys

The domestic donkey (Equus Africanus asinus) is a hoof-mammal in the family Equidae. The African wild ass is the origin of the domestic donkey that was originally from Africa. Depending on the species domestic donkeys can be classified as a subspecies or Milf-Sex as a separate species.

Arse vs. ass

"Arse" is an British slang term for a "stupid person" however it could also be used as synonym for "ass". This is where there is confusion since both are derived from the horse-like creatures. In the USA the correct name for Milf-sex Donkeys is 'Ass'.

Arse was initially an inoffensive term that refers to an element of the body. However it has since become a vulgar term. "Ass" was a variant of the arse term in the 19th century. It was originally used to describe horses or other animals However, Milf-Sex by the 1860s, it developed into the term used to describe an afterword. It is also used in the expression "to arse around'. "To make an ass of oneself" also makes use of the word "ass" that is associated with "to arse around". There are many meanings for arse, none of which are found in the word 'ass.

Appropriateness in popular culture

We often see cases where an established culture adopts elements of the culture of a minority. This practice, known as cultural appropriation, can lead to feelings of disdain among minority group members. Many Black people consider this patronizing behaviour, whether wearing the Native American headdress to a music festival or wearing blackface for Halloween.

In addition to adopting elements of cultures that are not native to the minority, a dominant group can also use intellectual property from the minority group. This is done via blackfishing, for example. It is important to keep in mind that people of color have a history being marginalized and excluded. For example, when you see a person of color wearing a blackface Halloween costume it is important to consider the history of black people being excluded.
