Wellness/fitness consultants typically have a background in health or nutrition, and may work directly with customers or collaborate with some other healthcare professionals. In addition, consultants may write treatment plans or use marketing abilities to advertise their services.
A wellness/fitness consultant can also be a health educator. Health educators promote healthy way of living habits in order to reduce the cost of healthcare, and improve the ongoing health of the population. Some employers hire health educators with only a high school degree, but others need a master's degree.
Wellness/fitness consultants may specialize in nutrition, exercise, stress management, weight reduction or a variety of other health related activities. Some consultants even start their own consulting businesses.
A wellness/fitness Sales Consultant may use marketing skills to promote their services, and may even write or style marketing materials to see prospective clients of these services. Some consultants may also work directly with clients, holding personally or virtual meetings.
A wellness/fitness consultant may have several clients at one time. In order to best assist their clients, experts must learn about each of their clients' lifestyles and comfort zones. They also must tailor their assistance to each person.
