Structural Integration ( SI ) is a method based on skill that involves somesthetic massage , which typically involves manual therapy. It explores the possibilities to alter the way you feel and move your body during working. Masterful manual touch brings immediate relief from stress and pain and awareness of what you're holding and using your upper body can help you make better decisions. Imagine the use of structural integration as a tool to change the world! It has been demonstrated that those who utilize their bodies in ways that are aligned with their values and goals enjoy more sense of wellbeing, happiness and physical well-being. These people are more likely to be successful in their career, have higher career-to education ratios, and attain greater levels of success in the workplace. What can you gain from structural integration?

My work with clients has shown me that Structural Integration Therapy can be employed to: (a) Align Posture. Most office workers have postural problems or posture abuse. From sitting in a slouched position to constantly changing their body postures (like standing straight or leaning forward to reach something) Office workers are constantly stressing their joints and muscles which puts a significant strain on their spines and postures. (b) Eliminate Back Pain The pain is one of the most common reasons why office workers do not take advantage of days of sick leave and miss out on their scheduled time. According to one study, office workers were missing 15% of their days of work due to back pain throughout the time of the year. (c) Strengthen your lower back or repair it: A large portion of the population is affected by poor posture, which is also known as lordosis. This condition affects the muscles and the spine. (d) Increase Flexibility: One of the biggest obstacles to achieving optimum performance in many professional fields, including sports and even in the at-home, is the inability to maintain a smooth and tight joint and muscle motion.

Many clients I see want immediate relief from joint pain, and/or facet joint (back discomfort) using massage chairs. But, what they do not realize is that massage therapy is just one aspect of Structural Integration Therapy and not the answer to all of their problems. Structural Integration Therapy also involves correct spinal alignment that can improve the quality of their physical life. (e.g. by helping them sit up straight) and, if applicable informing their therapists on correct posture and methods to address the root causes of pain. These techniques can help clients determine the physical causes of their pain as well as assist their therapists.

How is Structural Integration Therapy applied to you? First, clients are examined for any injuries that may be present. A physical exam usually includes an assessment of the functional and diagnostic aspects of the client's surroundings and body. Following that, an individualized program of manipulative and therapeutic touch is created tailored to meet each client's individual needs and goals. Once a plan has been developed and implemented Massage therapists can assist the patient to determine and implement their chosen approach.

Common treatments used in structural integration include therapeutic touch and manual therapy. Manual therapy employs movements and techniques to align joints and soft tissues throughout the body. Soft tissue manipulation is used for repair and maintenance of muscles joints, ligaments and tendons. Both are able to be used in conjunction or independently to target specific areas. Both methods can be combined with ultrasound or heat therapy to further target areas of pain.

To begin structural integration, a diagnostic assessment is performed to determine the cause of stiffness, pain or weakness. Then, a treatment plan is devised and implemented. The sessions can last between 30 and 60 minutes and are typically conducted by a licensed massage therapist who is skilled in structural integration. Sessions usually focus on relieving pain, increasing range of motion and strength, enhancing the range of soft tissue contact, and strengthening fascia. When a patient starts receiving treatment, subsequent sessions are scheduled regularly for several weeks to months.

Therapists will employ trigger points, massage and other techniques to encourage healing within the skeletal or muscular structures during the initial sessions of rehabilitation. If the cause of pain is more severe and requires additional measures, they may be needed to target the areas that are problematic. If there are severe injuries or diseases, extensive rehabilitation could be required. The purpose of postoperative therapy is to improve the patient's daily function. A rehabilitation plan that includes manual treatments and trigger point release techniques is recommended following surgery for long-term mobility.

If the purpose of rehabilitation is to improve daily functioning patients can begin regaining daily function after about a year of follow-up. To ensure greater success, the patient must adhere to all postoperative instructions provided by their physician, 대전마사지 including their regular schedule of physical therapy and follow-up appointments with chiropractor. Regular appointments ensure proper spinal alignment and provide relief from pain and stiffness and can help avoid further injury or poor posture. Chiropractic services also offer various support services, such as body alignment, orthopedic maintenance, and balance and joint management. A chiropractor can perform specific services, such as Kinesiology (treatment of joints and the muscles that support them), if needed to treat specific issues or injuries.
